nea not nie

I though Stephanie Nielsens top ten moments with her husband was cute. So here are the top ten most memorable times for me for our family this year.

10. swim lessons - Last year the girls worst grades at the end of the summer were swim lessons (a required course in all schools here) So we finally forked out the time and money this year. UGH! only having one car for most of those months made it quite a dreaded experience. They were right at dinnertime. No entertainment for the babies. Then go pick Beau up then eat dinner at bedtime. The girls excelled though and that's what matters in the end. The first lesson Gwen wouldn't go past her ankles without her teacher holding her and can now swim the length of the pool with a noodle. Ady can dive and swim the length with no aids. And Kalysta can completely immerse her face and swim a length with no aids. So glad it's done. We are just holding off this semester as they have lessons in the summer term.

9.ward mission leader - Lots of meetings. Meeting missionaries. Feeding missionaries. Sacrament talks. If Beau wants to expound now's his chance.

8.primary- Home away from Home. A comfort calling. Teaching CTR 8 which proved a challenge with 5 boys each with different ideas of what they wanted from primary. And 3 angel girls who come to primary to learn and please.

7.seminary-another challenge. Luckily just home study so only to be done once a week. Challenging with babies, beau coming home early to help, or babysitters coming over to help, only to have a less active hit or miss student that didn't always call when she wasn't going to come. Reading was initially hard on little sleep while still waking up with babies but learned loads from the New Testament.

6.Gwen starts school - Perfect. A 4 year old who constantly wants to be learning. Amazed at how the school handled her peanut allergy.

5.Hospital with Emberly AGAIN (best not be yearly) Broken leg

4.Kalysta baptised

3.Neals visit- So fun and grateful for their help in London, with the Baptism and while we were away in Rome. Couldn't have imagined I'd have such amazing In-laws.

2.disneyland paris- Travelling is not my thing, but I'm so grateful there are some things Beau does without my whole hearted approval. Fun Fun Fun. Though if you ask the kids they may give you the impression that the swim pool at the hotel was the best part.

1.rome- Once again not a travel bug. But when your husband tells you he's bought two tickets and tells you if you don't use one he'll find another women to (assuming he meant his mom or sister in my optimism). So glad I didn't let someone else use my ticket. Most impressive was the amount of attention I get when it's not divided by 5 other little girls needs. Love You BEAU!

I LOVE this! I loved Nie's when I read hers too- she is such a good little wifie. As are you!! Looks like it has been a great year for lots of growth, love, laughter, and TRAVEL that continues to make me so jealous (in the most loving and excited for YOU way possible).

It's funny to me that the girls' favorite part of Paris Disneyland was the hotel's swimming pool yet they had to take swim lessons cause they were super uncomfortable with it? Well, I guess that may have been after swim lessons so they could practice what they'd learned...you've had a great (and BUSY) year!
