York

We visited York since Beau had the day off. There is a wall that runs somewhat through the city. That is where the "coffins" were that you see. The kids enjoyed the rock climbing and playing dead. We also toured the York Cathedral. We went down the cathedral's crypt. We think there may have actually been dead bodies still down there since we saw coffins that were still possibly sealed or at least shut, also old roman ruins. Only regret in the crypt - not listening to the 45 min. audio tour. Though if you know children, you know why we knew it would be best not to. Beau climbed 275 stairs in a compact spiral staircase to get to the top. So small that they would only allow one way traffic up at a time. So he had to wait for one group to go up, then come back down, then it was his groups turn. Thanks for the aerial shots Beau! And thanks for the weight loss York Cathedral! I believe it's the largest gothic cathedral in northern Europe. We also completed Kalysta's birthday shopping and went to McDonalds (I only say this to show that all ages interests were met!) All in all, pretty fun day.
